A graduate of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, J. Richard Susi, D.O. went on to Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Susi completed his Post-Doctoral training as Chief Ophthalmology Resident at the Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Susi is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellow in the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Susi has been in private practice in Orlando, Florida at the Orange Eye Center since completing his ophthalmology residency in 1985.

Dr. Susi is presently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Surgery, Division of Ophthalmology at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has served in the past as Chief of Surgery at the Florida Hospital in East Orlando.
